A flash in the distance, a circuit of stars
A glimpse of light in the reflection afar
Peaks of white upon the troubled ocean
The waving of wheat in constant motion
No proportion discerned, no symmetry seen
Yet through these movements, beauty remains
And flows from the source through which all have being

From the Earth to the heavenly spheres circling
And as the cup flows over by her tilting hand
She passes through the sea into the open land


Oh, back to the dawn
Fractured from a dream
In the silence, I wait for you
To call my name

At last, reaching a word, beyond speaking
Which transcends every, and all manner of teaching
No thought can contain, no tongue can express
This mystery, so profound and limitless
It is here, where beauty finds its source
And it is here, where wisdom ties her horse
The waters parted, once are closing in

She gazes from the shadow of willow trees
She pulls me closer, out of the blood red tides
And leads me up beyond the skies


Oh, back to the dawn
