White Male Middle Class Blues Songtext

White Male Middle Class Blues Songtext
I spend most of my day time in a dark room, moving digits on a screen
Trading time for food on the table, looking for a loophole out of here
But here our kids and houses just serve to remind us of all the coming bills
We have to pay
So we stay in jobs that we don′t care for to afford more shit that we don't need
I really hope somehow science will save us
′Cause we don't stand a chance here on our own
It seems all our abundances have played us -maybe it is time to let them go
But the city's pretty nice in the summer when everyone′s a little less depressed
Can′t make a difference all the time but for what it's worth, now, here′s my try
Here's another song to cheer you up
My phone was manufactured in a big factory in the East
With suicide nets around the buildings to catch depressed workers in their fall
I really hope somehow some god will save us
′Cause we don't stand a chance here on our own
It seems somehow our self-perception have played us - maybe it′s the time to let it go
Cause we all judge ourselves by our intentions
And judge others by the things they do
Everyone's a hypocrite but find a way to live with it
Here's another song to cheer you up
Just let it go
But don′t let go
I never tried to save the world in the first place
I′m just trying hard to save myself
Things look pretty hopeless on the worst days
It feels like it is time to just give up and cry for help
But this city's pretty nice in the summer when everybody′s a little less depressed
Things are changing all the time, today might be the day you crack a smile
Here's another song to cheer you up
Just let it go
But don′t let go
Trading time for food on the table, looking for a loophole out of here
But here our kids and houses just serve to remind us of all the coming bills
We have to pay
