Same apartment, the same list of chores
Looks exactly as it did before
Nothing′s changed, still seems like home
Except that I'm alone

Seven boxes on the Bran Flakes shelf
Rounding up, multiply by twelve
There′s enough for eighty-four bowls
I turn to tell you, but I catch myself
Look around; there's no one else here

What'll I do now?
I′ll do what I know how
Like always, but there′s something new

As long as time allows
I'll just do what I always do

Seven-thirty, open up my eyes
Watch the laundry as it multiplies
I′m sticking to the same routine
Cook sleep work and clean
Jog my memory for anything I've missed
Cross another off my list

What′ll I do now?
I'll do what I know how
Twice as many things to do

As long as time allows
I′ll just do what I always do
But without you

I try to keep things simple, keep things organized
I bet if you were here now you'd hardly be surprised
I take the trash out and I think about you
I'm trying my best but sometimes I wonder what I′ll do

I'll do it all somehow
It′s not like me to muddle through
