I′ll often go for one or two at the pub beside the park
Then stay there drinking pints of stout, go home when light is dark
When I get home, the wife, she's mad and then the fighting starts
I end up sleeping on the couch, the smell of beer and farts

Wake in the morning, I′m destroyed, hungover like a dog
But the dog, he ate my dinner so he's feeling rather glad
I drag my arse up off the couch, head to the kitchen sink
It's only 12 steps, but it′s much further than you′d think

I used to stand beside the bar and watch the drunken fools

I try my best to sober up, but end up drinking more
