Canadian Man Songtext

Canadian Man Songtext
Met a man from Canada
He was looking for a wife
Said he was so tired of living his life alone
Met a man with a golden tan
He was travelling to Spain
He had an extra ticket and he had to find someone to help him
Across the plain
His face was gentle, but his voice grew harsh
As he spoke all the people from his past
All of them were strangers acting out their parts
All of them were jokers playing dice with their hearts
He waited through the summer
And when the right time came
Packed his poems and his spears, settled in the London rain
He said that he'd left fortune, he said that he'd left fame
I left him on a busy street and I wonder if we'll ever meet again
Met a man from Canada
He was looking for a wife
Said he was so tired of living his life alone
