Pulling Hard Against the Stream Songtext

Pulling Hard Against the Stream Songtext

In this world I′ve gained my knowledge,
And for it I've had to pay,
And though I never went to college,
I′ve heard a wise man say,
Life is like a mighty river,
Rolling on from day to day,
Men are vessels launched upon it,
And sometimes wrecked and cast away.

So do your best for one another,
When you're stepping inbetween,
Help the water weary brother,
Pulling hard against the stream,
Pulling hard against the stream.

Many a bright, good hearted fellow,
Many a noble, biding man,
Finds himself in water shallow,
Them come on help us if you can,
Some succeed at every turning,
Fortune favours every steed,
Others too though more deserving,
Have to pull hard aainst the stream.

So do your best for one another,
When you're stepping inbetween,
Help the water weary brother,
Pulling hard against the stream,
Pulling hard against the stream.

If the wind is in your favour,
And you′ve weathered every storm,
Think of those who love has laboured,
Never get fair wins at all.

So do your best for one another,
When you′re stepping inbetween,
Help the water weary brother,
Pulling hard against the stream,
Pulling hard against the stream.
