When I was a boy, I wanted to go sailing
Live out on the sea, with harpoon I′d go whaling
Oh to get away, to sail the open waters
The breakers and wind they would spell out my fate


Walk into my dream, I dreamt I was a captain
Searching for a place that had never been found
Sailed to distant shores, in all the ports and harbors
I'd find a place that reminds me of home

Now I am a man, and never have I wandered
Somehow I let my dreams slip away
But every now and then, I slip into a slumber
And find my way back to the ocean again
