The Need to Breathe Songtext

The Need to Breathe Songtext
Stranded alone ending perfect days with a perfect storm
Floating away
I hope that the current drags me home
Nothing in sight, but the lights on the coastline miles away
I stare at the starts
And wonder if I′d be the same out there
How can I just keep from failing?
The more I try, the more defeat
I rolled the dice while I was growing up
And I couldn't be beat
Us against the world
We know that tale
When we try so hard
And always fail
It′s an endless chore
We find our ways to move on
We've got the road ahead of us
And we've got this need to breathe
I′m sorry to say that full time work comes to part time pay
We′re expecting to give
Our current life for our future days
Whisper a dying breath thinking back to a distant past
Follow a dream
'Cause once they′re gone, you won't get them back
Time: the only thing that matters
A moment gone cannot repeat
I remain so isolated
Inside the walls protecting me
Us against the world
We know that tale
When we try so hard
And always fail
It′s an endless chore
We find our ways to move on
We've got the road ahead of us
And we′ve got this need to breathe
I wonder if I went back in time
I'd try to change the past
And not work so fast
I don't know what the future holds
But I hope for the best
I could use some rest
Us against the world
We know that tale
When we try so hard
And always fail
It′s an endless chore
We find our ways to move on
We′ve got the road ahead of us
And we've got this need to breathe
Floating away
I hope that the current drags me home
Nothing in sight, but the lights on the coastline miles away
