I can feel them

As an abstract parallel to a wall of fire
What I see is not unknown, yet not visible
But somehow... Somewhere...
I am truly convinced that I have been here before

As a fiend departed from subsistence
This seems like an endless maze of fear
Mislead to break a formula - sustained as promised
I had it all figured out
But I still know the passage to Hell
