Stare, stare, see if I care,
I care and I know that you see it.
I′m from the West and life gets on my chest
And god alone knows how I feel it.
Having nothing- a relative claim-
We're all scared of life in some way.
The day is so slow to return from the dark
And all of us know how we need it.


The train left an hour ago,
There′s a hell of a lick in its pace.
There are too many laps till we're shot of the race,
There are too many places to go.
You kids, you see through me or maybe you don't,
I understood naught at your age.
There′s no reason for thinking that you aren′t the same
I'll move on none the wiser, I know.
