Somersault Songtext
SOMERSAULT
Every day I fold my limbs in to bend my body
Making a shape for the guests at my party
I can′t stop, I walk on my hands
'Til my arms give up and let me in
Spin me like a top and I′ll blur at the edges
I'm digging deep, drilling down unattended
I'll carve out a mold in the middle
Of the hole hollowed out and settle in
Lie down in the backseat
Fumbling matches
Slowly I′m leaking out
Rise up with the smoke
I held in my throat and
Grow soft into a cloud
I′m in a somersault
I wantto learn to crawl
I could stand to walk
Before I run to fall
I'm always up for a new position
Prepping myself for the fall exhibition
I scrub off the spots that I got
Until I′m all alone inside my skin
Look at me shining there down in the garden
All of my sweat and all of my pardon
I can't help staring at the dark
Where my shadow gives up and I begin
Every day I fold my limbs in to bend my body
Making a shape for the guests at my party
I can′t stop, I walk on my hands
'Til my arms give up and let me in
Spin me like a top and I′ll blur at the edges
I'm digging deep, drilling down unattended
I'll carve out a mold in the middle
Of the hole hollowed out and settle in
Lie down in the backseat
Fumbling matches
Slowly I′m leaking out
Rise up with the smoke
I held in my throat and
Grow soft into a cloud
I′m in a somersault
I wantto learn to crawl
I could stand to walk
Before I run to fall
I'm always up for a new position
Prepping myself for the fall exhibition
I scrub off the spots that I got
Until I′m all alone inside my skin
Look at me shining there down in the garden
All of my sweat and all of my pardon
I can't help staring at the dark
Where my shadow gives up and I begin
