Sometimes I look around
And wonder what the fuck happened to me
I′m growing old in the suburbs
I have a goddamn SUV

I think about the price of gas
Real estate and property tax
I use to be so careless and carefree
And now nothing's easy

I wish I could relive a moment lost in time
I know exactly where I′d be

We were only kids

I thought I was too cool for The Warped Tour
But that summer was the best of my life
With every year that passes it gets further away
I've got no scars left from those plastic knives
That we cut ourselves to the downbeat of The Thunder Rolls
Brick by brick summer 2006


Watching Paramore on a smaller stage
And The Valiant Thor each and every day
The Fully Down built the Smart Punk stage in the morning
And tore it down at night

It's where I met Cam one of those times I don′t remember meeting Cam
But I remember watching Moneen with all the other bands

We were only kids

My wife brought her boyfriend out to the Montreal show
I was embarrassed as hell, fingers stained with tobacco
And my capable heart began to wither
When I shook the hand of the gentlemen with her
But I was wrong and I would wait
Cause we′d be back again come summer 2008

It's funny how the years can change you
It′s funny how you never thought you'd end up in this place
It′s funny how your mind can change a little everyday
And time's displayed through lines upon your face

I don′t know if I could do it all again if I would do it the same way

It's funny how I hate the things I use to think were cool
But I love the way your face lights up when I pick you up from school (Daycare)
We're waiting for your mom to get home so we can eat together
It′s funny how these times are so much better


And there will always be a part of me
Reliving these bittersweet memories
