The Road Songtext

The Road Songtext

The view beneath the big ook trees
The people all around I see are fading
My friends and family gathering to say farewell, it′s comforting
Thank you all
So, say goodbye
The road has been sublime
Don't shed a tear for me tonight
I′ve had a life
That's good enough for me
I see my childhood memories
Of chasing fireflies through the weeds, so innocently
One last look before I go, but to where I do not know
But I'm not afraid
So, this is goodbye
The road has been sublime
Don′t shed a tear for me tonight
I′ve had a life
That's good enough for me
So, say goodbye
The road has been sublime
Don′t shed a tear for me tonight
I've had a life
That′s good enough for me
I've made good friends along the way
And watched the sun set behind waves, so beautiful
And I recall the fragrance in the air before the rain
I′ve loved and lost and loved again
I've some regrets but that's ok
Not one moment would I replace with anything
And I′ll miss my loving family
But this is the end of the road for me
