Here comes the morning light
Cast on the bed on which I lay down
Restless dreams I made
Bounce on the walls and window panes

As rest can′t be found
I'll make up scenes of you and I
Rolling in gentle waves
Whatever picture comes to mind

Slowly drawn to the heart of the lake


Time and time again
I get caught playing the game hard
This pain that splits my head
Shadows the will to make the day count

Sliding the surface lean
Of waters deep and still
Floating fantasies
Carnal scenes of you and me

Neon lights have me wandering off the path
In shattered glass I saw strangers on a line

Behind dusty blinds
Safe from the daring gaze of town
I reach for the depth
Of a feeling long withheld
Slowly drawn to the heart of the lake
