Hermit Songtext

Hermit Songtext
I was living in the woods to prove you I could be brave.
I′d save myself in a new way by living in a cave and so,
Home began to mean much more than it had before
And soon I decided I would try to find a reason why.
In my wondering mind was something new.
Would my wandering bring me to you?
Oh I wake in the night, long before morning's light.
Oh the memories do keep, won′t help me sleep.
I was getting high on trees.
I'd snort a line of breeze, with ease. Water getting ever hotter daily by a new degree.
Sun was baking in the sky.
I was shaking myself dry like a dog.
Catching fish without a permit,
Living like a hermit, hermit the frog.
In my wondering mind was something new.
Oh my lonely arms exist for you.
Oh you wake before dawn with that long, silent yawn.
Oh the memories we make keep you awake.
