Under a beautiful tree
Bird flew down and landed on my head
I felt best and special, but that bird don′t fly off with a feather

I'm able to see that feather again
Well, I need a change of scenery so I headed back west
I put holes in my shoes, I had dirt on my clothes
I looked like I am robbin the bank machine
Things started lookin up, when I manage to regain you (?)
One of the pom-pom girls from the outer west offered to drive me home

Ooo, I really needed that drive.
When Mary Lou dropped me off
I was feeling bent out of shape
She had reminded me
That almost anything can happen
Cause if I did not choose this life
Then it must′ve chose me
I don't know which is worse
I guess we're just gonna have to wait and see
