I saw a white ship at the harbour
Wish i could be on board
There were grace and joey
And dawn and all
And some other folks i can′t recall
From tv, maybe saints
But i bet my friend they all behaved
Like friends


She wore a white dress that summer
We walked across the lawn
The grass was burnt the leaves all brown
Things were slowly going down

Crowded rooms and aeroplanes
The white noise in my head
Oh how i pray they'd quiet down
For a day

We really tried to find you
You were nowhere to be found
And after all when you tried to call
I just could not lift the phone
