Tired and Free Songtext

Tired and Free Songtext

life is what it is, it is alright
got a lot of luck, got you
walking right here by my side
i feel tired and free
i counted to three
climbed up a tree
what did i see
love is lust
and an agreement

you picked up a pebble from the water
from the bottom of the lake
smooth as a pearl but better
perfectly round in shape
the pigeons and doves
all sing about love
and the radio hangs
on the branch of the tree
doing just the same

yet i wish that i could be
as strong as they all seem to be
when they carry the ones they care about
out of the burning high-rise

you know we won′t get any better
just older and bleak
but as long as you stick by my side
i feel tired and free
don't get me wrong
i love you all along
you make me free
to be naked and weak
and myself

yet i wish that i could be
as brave as they all seem to be
in the middle of the catastrophes
in the saturday movies

there′s a blazing light that hurts my eyes
in the saturday movies
