The sheep are afraid
Gabriel what have you done?

Like fools on a hill
Thinking Gabriel what did you say?

She said "Fear not for I bring tidings of joy
In the city of David Christ is born
Come through the stable door to a manger of straw
Where the Prince of Peace has been born".


Never have I
Seen an angel before
In a blaze of light shining in the night.
And did the angel say
A boy has been born
In a stable and he's lying in the hay?

This is the day
We thought would never come
When a Saviour came into the world
So lift up your voice
To heaven and sing
A joyful song for the new baby king.
