Make the eye of the hurricane disappear, so we remain in the storm
that's not gonna stop, so we stay stuck, we stay trapped in the middle
We don't sleep, we don't dream, we will drink way too much coffee
Until there's no red in blood at all, our veins filled with caffeïne

The news report on the radio, says there's gonna be no change
Hurricane, purple sky, coming our way
We pull it to us, like I pull you to me
You tremble


We await the rumbling, that reminds us of a rollercoaster
that we're still in, remain seated, we never went out
Another drop, some air time, it feels like I am falling
like our love before shattering to bits

It could be so much worse, without shelter, flying cars in the air
On the streets, concrete breaks, lampposts move, it's a disaster
All of a sudden, the once so great, changes into wilderness
Every form of civilization disappeared into nothing
