Funny in Dreams Songtext

Bright white kitchen on a Sunday morning
Sitting with my sister at the table
With a mug in hand that I got from island
Mom′s hanging paintings from New Airy

New photo of me when I was seventeen
And there's a great big window that you could see helicopters fall
And watch garden gnomes

Oh, its oh, so long the merrier
Sneaking a picture on a napkin with a blue berry
And I was laughing out so loud and cheering
And something started tasting strange in the coffee

We all went to look behind the machine
And there′s a swam of horseflies, that turn to blackbirds
Things are funny like that in dreams

And that's when I him saw at the top of the stairs
He walked right by me but I knew that he cared
His vomit on the train made me run in far

I had a phobia of sickness since my sister in the car
Music drawing in my breakfast bed
I let him touch me with his hands
There are parts in me that I'll never really understand

Suddenly I was stuck behind the sun
I could see my fame
But everyone they tried hard but I could not scream
Things are always funny like that in dreams

And every night I sleep with your birthday card
And in your handwriting it says I am a star
Well, I don′t feel like one

In fact the opposite, what′s the opposite of star?
Anyway, are there places in the sky that's softer than others?
Are they still things left to run away from?
Are they still things left to discover?

Sometimes I fall and can′t get back up
So is this the sidewalk or a balance thing

Avery likes playing this games
Avery likes playing this games
Avery likes playing this games
Oh oh oh oh
