Inertia is torture

I know the risks but it feels like it′s tangible;
To think the unthinkable
Call it a breakthrough
I feel like I'm coming to
I′ve started to hear the voices
"You'll waste away under all that pressure, that weight."
It takes hold, but you're only human

I′ve felt this hell. I′ve watched it breed
I've known it to burn inside of me
I heard the news
Noticed the change in a life so full of colour
But now I only see the blues


Burn the books, I lost faith so long ago
Now my reality′s my king
Success of the common man was never a part of the bigger plan
No point of focus, much less a compass. You're lost
You′ve lost your role
So you learn the ropes to feel like you're in control
You′re just a puppet, pulling strings

I've felt this hell. I've watched it breed
