Flash of searing pain unleashing on the nervous system
Withdrawing my hold to find my hand is gone
No blood, no remains, just a scatter of light
It can flex? I can feel? All the tendons tightening
Concrete, tangible, an avatar of permanence
Recoil in shock, is this really happening?

Why can I see this?
Why can you see me?
Why do I exist?
Why are you alive?

As I succumb to this
Witnessing my body slowly fade away
The immaterial manifest
Wraps its twisting fingers around my neck
