Engraved Songtext

Dirty fingernails from tilling the soil of my own grave
Dirty lungs from the cigarettes and all the souls she′s saved
She's a temptress in a black dress and she′s knocking at my door
Offering a glass half-full of all the poisons that I've had before

All of my demons are right underneath my bed
They're digging up my dreams and planting nightmares there instead

I′ve been dwelling too much, too much on all I′ve left behind
Being held hostage again by all the ghosts floating in my mind
I swear the past has a hold on me
An ice cold grip, I can hardly breathe
Help me remember who I am, not who I used to be

Awakened, all my devils start to dance upon my casket
The safety net I drug behind me
Lost among the wreckage of my dark nights
They say what's dead should never rise
But does the past ever truly die?
I pray to the heavens to never let them
See the blackness behind my eyes

All of my demons are right underneath my bed
They′re digging up my dreams and planting nightmares there instead

I've been dwelling too much, too much on all I′ve left behind
Being held hostage again by all the ghosts floating in my mind
I swear the past has a hold on me
An ice cold grip, I can hardly breathe
Help me remember who I am, not who I used to be

All of my demons are right underneath my bed
They're digging up my dreams and planting nightmares

I′ve been dwelling too much, too much on all I've left behind
Being held hostage again by all the ghosts floating in my mind
I swear the past has a hold on me
An ice cold grip, I can hardly breathe
Help me remember who I am

I've been dwelling too much, too much on all I′ve left behind
Being held hostage again by all the ghosts floating in my mind
I swear the past has a hold on me
An ice cold grip, I can hardly breathe
Help me remember who I am, not who I used to be
