May safe paths guide you from your home
To the cairn-crowned mountains to the spray-soaked sand
To the field-fringed hillside as you walk this land


You who amble, you who drift
May your views be clear and your storms pass swift
Over heathland, moorland, forested track
Climbing stile and hedgerow, fair wind at your back

You who scramble, you who stroll
Let the outdoors in to feed your soul
With the glint of winter and the promise of spring
Bright swallows in summer and the auburn autumn brings

You who ramble, you who range
May the hills you love always be unchanged
And the map and compass always guide you down
When the sun′s in the west and your path is homeward-bound
