Of the gods I am scribe, of the laws I am lord
I weigh hearts in the balance, I weigh words in their essence
In my ibis-helmed wisdom record negative confessions
Some know me as Mercury, supplying words of power
Thou knowest my name dwelling in my hour

I′m Thoth; bestowing powers on the gods
I'm Thoth; lord of light and truth
I′m Thoth; mighty one of enchantments

Gave words of power Osiris on the night of things of light
Gave words of charm to Isis whose legends put to right
Enchantment gave I Horus, victor of the fight
With my own fingers I hold Set's fire
His nerves I used to string my lyre


I'm Thoth; self-created lord of the elements
I′m Thoth; steering the boat of millions of years
I′m Thoth; mighty one of enchantments
I'm Thoth; mighty one of enchantments
