Barleycorn and Toblerone Songtext
Barleycorn & Toblerone
(Yea here we go!)
I was use to barleycorn, toblerone and moonshine
Sitting in the attic
Sanding down the roadsigns
Put a penny in a moving picture
They said our love would make us richer
When it flickers to black
I dont want my penny back
Well a paper bag and a musical saw
Tools of the trade of American law
Well they, tell us a story
Start the beginning
And at the end, they leave out
I was used to barleycorn
In the road with the moonshine
They said that was that
I was standing in the bread line
Knife and fork were on my table
I couldn′t put food though I was able
Nor could I speak the line
Though my entrance was on time
Well a paper bag and a musical saw
Tools of the trade of American law
Well they tell us a story
Start the beginning
And at the end, they leave out
(Yea here we go!)
I was use to barleycorn, toblerone and moonshine
Sitting in the attic
Sanding down the roadsigns
Put a penny in a moving picture
They said our love would make us richer
When it flickers to black
I dont want my penny back
Well a paper bag and a musical saw
Tools of the trade of American law
Well they, tell us a story
Start the beginning
And at the end, they leave out
I was used to barleycorn
In the road with the moonshine
They said that was that
I was standing in the bread line
Knife and fork were on my table
I couldn′t put food though I was able
Nor could I speak the line
Though my entrance was on time
Well a paper bag and a musical saw
Tools of the trade of American law
Well they tell us a story
Start the beginning
And at the end, they leave out
