Isle of Man Songtext

Isle of Man Songtext
A rugged shoreline surrounds an isle
Lost in time within the water′s grip
A castle stands
The walls stained with salt and time
Its view beholds the land below
Life's entwined
My land stands between two powers
Its freedom stands within two seas
The shoreline′s been my steel armour
Castle's been an eagle's nest
Time′s been washed by a winter cloud
The sea′s been tossed by the underground
Tradition's been lost by the power cost
Something′s been changed
It's just not the same
The Isle of Man, of rock and sand
The valley not touched, but by native man
For in the past, as now
A fairy tongue does thrive
And now, as of before
The young know little but of the old
Lost in time within the water′s grip
A castle stands
The walls stained with salt and time
Its view beholds the land below
Life's entwined
My land stands between two powers
Its freedom stands within two seas
The shoreline′s been my steel armour
Castle's been an eagle's nest
Time′s been washed by a winter cloud
The sea′s been tossed by the underground
Tradition's been lost by the power cost
Something′s been changed
It's just not the same
The Isle of Man, of rock and sand
The valley not touched, but by native man
For in the past, as now
A fairy tongue does thrive
And now, as of before
The young know little but of the old
