Afloat upon the streams of life

Tension keeps us dry
Through rapids and eddies swept
We held each other′s
Heads above water
Carried towards the depths

Out to sea
Carried on the flow
And in too deep


Cast onto the night tide
We're left breathless
A buoyancy vest
Is all that binds us to life
We cling to what's left
The wreckage of our dreams
Now submarine
It′s too late for regrets

Out to sea
We′re carried undertow
And in too deep

The peaks that carry us high are only passing
Same as the troughs in the pits of the squall
The undulations take us nowhere
That we don't already know

The rip currents pull
Us apart beneath the swell
Caught in the undertow
Trapped in the undertow
But we′ll
Surface arms entwined

Only the breakers decide as we approach land
Whether we'll stand, a chance to survive
