A squirrel named Ricky
Lives in my backyard
A real good friend to me
When life gets hard
He's free to run and climb his tree all day
And calms me down in every single way

Whenever we are home ole Ricky's there

Good ole Ricky inspires me everyday
So I colored my hair orange yesterday
With no surprise

One day we came home
With a feeling something's wrong
The cherry tree next door
They cut it down
Homeless and alone
We found Ricky on his own
