Remember days of endless football
Headers and volleys on the green
Skins and shirts and six-a-side

Months of sunlight every week
And breaking into the village hall
I guess it never seemed it at the time
But didn′t we really have it all


I close my eyes, and I'm back beside the river
Sunburned nose and scratched-up knees
Waiting patiently for that greedy old kingfisher

Now all i think about is Covid-19
And when we can go back outside at last
