Caligula Songtext

My father
Was never rejected
By the people
That he protected
And he assumed
The leader
When the enemy′s army
Was defeated
But my uncle
Was overzealous
Of obtaining the throne
And he was jealous
Of all the attention my father gained
So he put
Dear old Dad away

Consumed
In the banks and the tower
My sister and my mother
And just as the walls
Echo their screams
My skull
Bounces evil dreams

CALIG-ULA!
CALIG-ULA!
CALIGULA!
CALIG-ULA!!

And soon
My younger sister and I
To the palace
We were confined
And when with manhood
I was blessed
I taste the temptations
Of incest
And my uncle
He would binge
On alcohol
And women
And when his life
Would suddenly halt
That's when I
Would take the throne!

CALIG-ULA!
CALIG-ULA!
CALIGULA!
CALIG-ULA!!

So the people
They would cheer
And soon
Would learn to fear
As I take any wife I want
And to your face
I will flaunt
The imperfections
And mistakes
Public murder
In the streets
And I′ll set the world on fire and watch it burn
From the back of my horse who is a Roman senator!

CALIG-ULA!
CALIG-ULA!
CALIGULA!
CALIG-ULA!!
