Said the father to his little princess.
Cold was the night.
So glad was the child.

Three days later
The strangers came,
Took the little princess
And drove her away.
"Father, father where are you?"
Cold was the night.
Oh, lonesome child.

Beneath a tower
The princess was found.
Her eyes are open,
But still she counts.
"Father, father please stop this game!
