Apollo (20) Songtext
von Michael Webster

Apollo (20) Songtext

If every minute is a mile, then how long will it take?
To get where you′re going, to avoid any delays
Well I've been contemplating using some of that public transport
But sometimes human engagement just feels like a joke

So go lie to all your friends, obscurities of the mind
Your paper dreams burn even better in the night

I will lie awake, conceal your shame
I am wide awake, no one else is to blame

Well I′m pretty sure I was meant for more than this
Work your nine to five, pay your taxes, and have some kids
Waste your life away in a job that you hate
You may never get a chance to change

And I am a mountain, that might be moved
From brute force, or simple truths
When darkness creeps in, oh, thoughts invade the space
Having aqueduct feeling about the current phase

So go lie to all your friends, yet again
Your paper dreams are in the hands of politicians

I will lie awake, conceal your shame
I am wide awake, no one else is to blame

Well I'm pretty sure I was meant for more than this
Work your nine to five, pay your taxes, and have some kids
Waste your life away in a job that you hate
You may never get a chance to change
