Earth Odyssey Songtext

Earth Odyssey Songtext
As I guide this ship through miles and miles
Of black and empty space
The crew relax in the hands of hope
That gets us all the way
The trillions and the dreams of all
Rest upon our brow as we head
Towards we don′t know what
In the cosmic sea of now
Scientist, poets, adventurers
Ride in this ship of steel
A cosmic human chrysalis
That carries the seeds of will
As parsecs pass, the years roll on
The frozen lie and dream
For them their time will swiftly pass
Like ripples on the stream
Mighty engines roar in silence
Deep inside the keel
Only seven guide this ship
Towards a destiny
Twenty years the ends in sight
And one more year to go
The galaxy gives up its secrets
Only we will know
We pass a moon and there it is
A pearl of shining blue
The sleepers wake excitement grows
The instruments tell us true
A virgin world of land and sea
And air for our rebirth
The searching parties leave the ship
For the planet we'll call earth
Of black and empty space
The crew relax in the hands of hope
That gets us all the way
The trillions and the dreams of all
Rest upon our brow as we head
Towards we don′t know what
In the cosmic sea of now
Scientist, poets, adventurers
Ride in this ship of steel
A cosmic human chrysalis
That carries the seeds of will
As parsecs pass, the years roll on
The frozen lie and dream
For them their time will swiftly pass
Like ripples on the stream
Mighty engines roar in silence
Deep inside the keel
Only seven guide this ship
Towards a destiny
Twenty years the ends in sight
And one more year to go
The galaxy gives up its secrets
Only we will know
We pass a moon and there it is
A pearl of shining blue
The sleepers wake excitement grows
The instruments tell us true
A virgin world of land and sea
And air for our rebirth
The searching parties leave the ship
For the planet we'll call earth
