Wash Me Clean Songtext

Wash Me Clean Songtext

As I reach the old familiar coast, wanna know the thing I missed the most, the taste of salt on my lips.
So I threw my shirt to the shore, ran like a child I knew before till I kicked up the waters to my knees.
And I felt like that word that spoken that tell me it's alright tell me it's alright as I let the oceans wash me clean.
Wash me clean
Only as I sink in to the mistake
Wash me clean
Only as my heart is failing me
Wash me clean
Only as I struggle to the surface and break it, do I learn to love the air I breathe.
I waited till the swell reached my waist, until the foams spit in my face and I felt my fingers start to freeze.
It was until the cold filled my lungs, was until my eyes drew blood and stung and I held my head beneath the sea, that I felt like the word that spoken that tell me it's alright tell me it's alright as I let the oceans wash me clean.
Wash me clean
Only as I sink in to the mistake
Wash me clean
Only as my heart is failing me
Wash me clean
Only as I struggle to the surface and break it, do I learn to love the air I breathe.
The air I breathe

The air I breathe / me and jimmy saw the sun come up and every colour in the world unstuck
And my kaleidoscope was looking up and we were spinning around
and I said I think we are gonna cope my friend
My bones are filled with hope again
As my kaleidoscope was on the mend
Then the world kept spinning end to end
And I
Only as I sink in to the mistake
Wash me clean
Only as my heart is failing me
Wash me clean
Only as I struggle to the surface and break it, do I learn to love the air I breathe.
Wash me clean
Only as I sink in to the mistake
Wash me clean
Only as my heart is failing me/ my hope
Wash me clean
Only as I struggle to the surface and break it, do I learn to love the air I breathe
