Poison Songtext

Poison Songtext

They told me you packed your things,
They told how you spread your wings
And left with no chance to say goodbye.
Oh then what was I? Some passerby?
Oh come on, what was I to you?

Oh now I need some kind of poison
To fix me up til the morning, oh
It may not be wise but it blinds the eyes a little,
Just enough to hide the mess you left behind.

I heard how you changed your name,
I heard how, oh how we look about the same
These words, my final acts of high, oh. (???)

But still I don′t sleep at night
Although I tried,
But still I don't sleep at night no more, oh

And I need some kind of poison
To fix me up til the morning, oh
It may not be wise but it blinds the eyes a little,
Just enough to hide the mess you left behind.

Heaven help me, I don′t know what else to do,
Just keep holding on to the helium balloon.
And she'll be waiting high above the clouds
And she'll stay with me
Til I come down, down, down.

Down, down, down

And I need some kind of poison
To fix me up til the morning, oh
It may not be wise but it blinds the eyes a little,
Just enough to hide the mess you left behind.
