They Met in the Middle Songtext

So this one guy rode from the east, but he rode to the west
And this other guy rode from the west to the east

And then there came a day way out in the middle
When they both stood face to face for a while
And then they met
At least it looked like they met, but they kept on going

So the guy who was from the east, he finally made it to the west
And the guy who was from the west finally made it to the east
But when they saw the things that they saw, they were very disappointed

So the guy who was from the east, he rode back to the east
And the guy from the west rode back to the west
Where they rode and they rode in the wind and rain and snow

And when they both got home
They both were very hungry
And they both went out to different restaurants
Well, one ate fish
But the other ate a cake, ′cause it was his birthday

Way out in the middle
Well, they say there is a place
Where no one is ever allowed to go
Well, they say that somebody went there once
But they don't remember
Woah!
