Conversations Songtext

Conversations Songtext
Everybody′s up in the morning
We're making breakfast for too many people
I guess there′s enough to go around
Just take your pick
And my job's getting easier
My boss says the morale is high
The working day's much shorter now
And we spend time with the family
And your friends purchase bicycles
And they ride into town but it takes so long
Once they get there, they go right home
I guess they enjoyed the journey
Well I come home from travelling
And the roads haven′t changed me at all
Perhaps it was brighter, I guess
I can′t run away from my personality
Oooh oooh oooh
Oooh oooh oooh
Ohhh oohhh ohhhh
I see the sun setting on Vancouver
and I ask when it will go up or down
Smiling politely hold my hand
And kiss my cheek
And you said do you want to be rich?
And I replied with money or with friends
My plan is to work during the week
And enjoy my weekends with you
All in all in this dull conversation
You say nothing at all
Think about this strange imagination
But your face is blank with no response
Could you stay with me?
Could you stay with me?
Could you stay with me when circumstances aren't the greatest
But could you offer me there when I′m sick
But you said that you loved me once
Yes sure but maybe it's true but can you show me more
Those are just words you hide behind
And your actions do not support
Oooh ooh oohhhh
Oooh oooh oohh
Oh oh ohhhh
Lalalalaaaa Lalalalaaa Lala
La la la la laaa
We're making breakfast for too many people
I guess there′s enough to go around
