We heard the following news on the radio.
Under the command of General Eisenhower,
Allied naval forces, supported by strong air forces,
Began landing allied armies this morning On the northern coast of France.
Here′s the text of the order of the day
From General Dwight D. Eisenhower.

You know, even the people out here
Who don't have anybody to worry about;
Even those people are telling themselves again how lucky they are.
And I, I think that′s part of the reason why
The whole city's been so quiet ever since Monday night.
