Watchin' the Moon Rise Over Town Songtext

Watchin' the Moon Rise Over Town Songtext
Pavement in Jacksonville′s coming down
And I got spots and butterflies lying around
And I fell down there with Bruce in a scuffle
When you jumped onto my back, forcing me to spin around
And now we're watching the moon rise over town
We both got bloody knuckles from the spill
Our elbows scraped and faces scratched up too
So, I sent Chris to the kitchen for a towel
And we laid there on the pavement
Content to be on the ground
Just watching the moon rise over town
And I did the same thing last summer
Again stingy in Ann Arbor
Big clock laying on the sidewalk
Watching clouds shadow the ground, yeah
Well, we still got scars, we still got scars, we were there
We′ve still got scars to show that we were there
When I sent Chris to the kitchen for that towel
While we laid out on the pavement sinking into the ground
Just watching the moon rise over town
Just watching the moon rise over town
Just watching the moon rise over town
And I got spots and butterflies lying around
And I fell down there with Bruce in a scuffle
When you jumped onto my back, forcing me to spin around
And now we're watching the moon rise over town
We both got bloody knuckles from the spill
Our elbows scraped and faces scratched up too
So, I sent Chris to the kitchen for a towel
And we laid there on the pavement
Content to be on the ground
Just watching the moon rise over town
And I did the same thing last summer
Again stingy in Ann Arbor
Big clock laying on the sidewalk
Watching clouds shadow the ground, yeah
Well, we still got scars, we still got scars, we were there
We′ve still got scars to show that we were there
When I sent Chris to the kitchen for that towel
While we laid out on the pavement sinking into the ground
Just watching the moon rise over town
Just watching the moon rise over town
Just watching the moon rise over town
