The first noel, the angel did say, was to certain poor sheperds in fields as they lay
In fields as they lay tending their sheep, on a cold winters night that was so deep

Noel, noel, noel, noel
Born is the King of Israel
Then they looked up and saw a bright star, shining in the east, beyond them afar
And to the earth, it gave a great light, and so it continued, both day and night

Then let us all, with one accord, sing praises to our heavenly Lord
That hath made heaven and earth of naught, and with His blood, mankind hath bought
