Fallen Songtext

Fallen Songtext
Pillow-fingers grabs with greedy hands, I move to slap them back
Stall the fall, steer it clear of here
But I can′t kill it, dead
Dread of ghosts that swallow souls
And trade with trucks of borrowed gold
All fold like castled cards
Shatter to shards of glass too blunt to cut
Or break the skin
The one I'm ins too thin, I slither snake-like, shed
Move and tread, verging on verbally rude instead
Shake my head. Pick up a pen instead
Wish I was better read and write that
My fightback′s been lacking tact but I'm making up for all that They're just making it all up like rhymes with pasts to hide
Two paths divide, as I stayed true to mine
You declined and took the steeper climb
With all its winds, turns and twists
The stuff made up of legends... Myth. Slowly drift
Float like victims IT has eaten... Hard to reach
Coarse like bleach that burns with every word they speak
They stand and reach
Full of self-belief but fall like Icarus and fail to reach
The heights they seek
Swallowed by these swarms of vulture cultures
Returned to earth they tend to leave their private life of torture
This one goes out to all the fallen stars
Cause if we make it then in a year or two, I see that′s where we are
Even if we climb the ladder that far
Always ending up like fallen stars
Me? 27 now and I′m still standing under the same rainy cloud
That's followed me around since I returned to town
Now I have to wear a frown
Simply to travel from side to side of my own stomping ground
Plug my ears to stop hearing the sound
And drown in worlds of instrumentals
That adds scenery to soundtracks
For me to storytell of crack-houses
That litter bin my kind of quiet streets
So when I sleep police sirens they still mark and beat my dreams
And I can still hear beatings taken by random bag-heads
Couldn′t manage to make it through today, It's just so tragic
They live life closer to the storms eye
Magnetised like tides they′re pulled under these moons moods
Only soothed by matrix escapes
Small breaks from swollen cityscapes
Broken up like buildings swallowed under these earthquakes
A man-made nature state with a wicked twist
Sometimes my wish-list consists of breathing apocalypse
Sometimes my wish-list consists of breathing apocalypse
This one goes out to all the fallen stars
Cause if we make it then in a year or two, I see that's where we are
Even if we climb the ladder that far
Always ending up like fallen stars
Burn out of these big pictures
This one goes out to all the fallen stars
Cause if we make it then in a year or two, I see that′s where we are
Even if we climb the ladder that far
Always ending up like fallen stars
Burt out of these big pictures
This one goes out to all the fallen stars

Pillow-fingers grabs with greedy hands, I move to slap them back
Stall the fall, steer it clear of here
But I can′t kill it, Dead
Dread of ghosts that swallow souls
And trade with trucks of borrowed gold
All fold like castled cards
Shatter to shards of glass too blunt to cut
Or break the skin
The one I′m ins too thin, I slither snake-like, shed
Move and tread, verging on verbally rude instead
Shake my head. Pick up a pen instead

They're just making it all up like rhymes with pasts to hide
Two paths divide, as I stayed true to mine
You declined and took the steeper climb
With all its winds, turns and twists
The stuff made up of legends... Myth
I′m wishing upon as well as watching out
For different forms of Fallen Stars
Stall the fall, steer it clear of here
But I can′t kill it, dead
Dread of ghosts that swallow souls
And trade with trucks of borrowed gold
All fold like castled cards
Shatter to shards of glass too blunt to cut
