I see your face in fields of snow
Hear your voice in winds that blow
You′ve left me with this memory
That's haunting my winter of dreams


In my dreams we still return
To summer fields where our love burned
In clover green where we once lay
Those were, my love, the brightest days

So like the wildflowers neath the ice
My heart is still, cold and quiet
As winter awaits the kiss of spring
I long for warmth your touch would bring

But now the chill is in my bones
Like when you said you had to go
You took the love you gave me
And left this long winter of dreams
