If I Wander Songtext
von Lassen

If I Wander Songtext

Sometimes I wish I lived in a quiet town
Where you showed your face and you didn′t find a crowd
Where the waitress knew your name at the diner
The street light would guide us back home to our house on the river

Sometimes I wish I lived on a city street
With windows and faces i'd never meet
Where everyone I knew wouldn′t tell me what to do
I'd be free to screw up on my own

If I wander, will I lose touch of who I could be
And if I stay will I have to choose a life that doesn't suit me
No it doesn′t suit me

When I walk these streets I seem to find myself
With my imagination giving me hell
Oh a gypsy I was bred, my grandmothers stories in my head
Of a life that I believe to be true

When this river is the only one you′ve known
And you've looked for love and bugs under every stone
When this river turns to creek, its time to kiss her rosy cheek
And wonder if you′ll ever come back home

If I wander, will I lose touch of who I could be
And if I stay will I have to choose a life that doesn't suit me
No it doesn′t suit me
If I wander, will I lose touch of who I could be
And if I stay will I have to choose a life that doesn't suit me
No it doesn′t suit me
