Caleb Songtext

I met him on the back of the internet
Cause at school there was no one that way
I′m not proud of it
But I wouldn't say I′m ashamed
Sometimes things just happen that way

He was older than his picture was
Almost thought I was at the wrong place
20 years ago that could've been his face
But I lied about my name
Guess I'm half to blame

Walk into the room
He′ll hand you some wine in a grey cup
It′ll say "bride and groom"
And one side will be stained with makeup
He said "maybe later, boy,
I can catch you at the gay club
If you're old enough
Open up"

I remember the way that he looked at me
When he asked me if I was in school
Told him half the truth
I was graduating soon
"but I′m 18 so it's cool"

Walk into the fire,
Let′s see what this body is made of
He'll keep the masc on,
But all of the rest you can take off
He said "maybe later, boy,
I can catch you at the gay club
If you′re old enough
Open up"

I don't know why I lied when I chose to lie
I don't know why I drove to undress
But my name is mine
And I′ll keep it close to my chest
He can have the rest
