The Coffee Costs Too Much Songtext
von Justin Hill

The Coffee Costs Too Much Songtext

Folks walking with their heads down, can′t seem to look one in the eye
So you train your ear to ignore the traffic, painting dreams to pass the time

Come down to the market and sing with me
Where there's photographs of speechlessness and pottery
Forgive me if the coffee costs too much and tastes cheap
But the market is the place I want to be

The sadness in your eyes would break my smile, if it wasn′t for the fire in your silence
Take a right on 7th avenue, and walk right past the school
Beside the hotel you might find us

Come down to the market and sing with me
Where there's photographs of speechlessness and pottery
Forgive me if the coffee costs too much and tastes cheap
But the market is the place I want to be
The market is the place I want to be

A world of tents and happiness
Other events are not like this
I don't see why anyone would want to leave
A world of tents and happiness
Other events are not like this

Folks are looking up, their eyes are shining
Traffic don′t exist and my paintings come true

Come down to the market and sing with me
Where there′s photographs of speechlessness and pottery
Forgive me if the coffee costs too much and tastes cheap
But the market is the place I want to be
The market is the place I want to be
The market is the place I want to be
