Morning breaks quietly
Flowers bloom in a haze
As daylight turns to nightime
A distant moon is staring at us

Daybreak finds the farmer sleeping
The earth may turn suddenly
As the sun a-rises for the last time
The universe will fall inward


So while the season breaks its cycle
The sky starts falling overhead
And as we hear the poet′s last rhyme
We watch the stars fall upon us

As soon as the spheres start colliding
When the day is done, we're counting backwards
