Says I′m sober, says I'm stable,
And that I am well enough to go.

So why am I still sitting in this
Doctors office? ferns and flowers
I guess I′ll take some with me as I go

I know the tricks of being sick
But I don't think I know how to be well


How do I work this new body?
Your blood feels so warm inside me.
Is it true I can move it on my own?

Spiral notebook, blank and waiting
For new ink but I'm abstaining.
These lines look like the bars
Once wrapped around my home.
