Butterscotch Songtext

Butterscotch Songtext
He starts his day like any other
But this time from the underside of a massive fallen oak tree
His first thought, of course, sustenance
It′s one he's used to
One he has to put on hold Passers by appear as he finds his next location
No attempt to socialize, it wouldn′t be the first time he's tried
Momentary serenity is found sprawled out on the soft grass in the warm sun
But passers by turn into enemies as he's forced to leave
Finally, a familiar place, through a window, through a door are familiar faces
He glances, they glance back
They are wary, as always, but provide even the slightest comfort to one displaced from a traditional home
Moving on, feeling somewhat pleased
To the empty lot he can see every galaxy, and drift to sleep
But this time from the underside of a massive fallen oak tree
His first thought, of course, sustenance
It′s one he's used to
One he has to put on hold Passers by appear as he finds his next location
No attempt to socialize, it wouldn′t be the first time he's tried
